Annual bedding plants are those that complete their life cycle within one year. During this time they grow, flower, produce seeds and then die. Within approximately one month, these bedding plants start to bloom and continue until it gets cold.
These plants provide a variety of color, size and species to accent your yard and garden. The wide variety of plants now makes possible the choice for every situation. There are plants which thrive in dim light as well as those that thrive in bright sunny spaces. Plants may be grown in so many different ways, too; as single specimens, grouped in planters, window boxes or as hanging baskets.
Annuals grown at Kuhlmann's are grown in a controlled environment to ensure quality plants. Our annuals have been grown for prairie conditions and have been "hardened off" to make them ready for your flower beds or gardens.
Kuhlmann's grows a wide variety of annual bedding plants that include asters, begonias, petunias, pansies, marigolds, snapdragons and one of our more popular and versatile annuals our "Famous Geraniums." From Zonal, Ivy or our Martha Washinton's, we have every shape, size and color to suit your needs.
Early planting of started and properly "hardened off" annuals can give amazing results, particularly for sheltered, sunny locations. However, general setting out of bedding plants should not occur until the May Long Weekend.
